Honduras Children's Project

Our Mission

Honduras Children’s Project is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the education for the children of COPPROME Orphanage in El Progreso, Honduras, by providing them with an educational after-school program and supporting the public elementary school they attend.

Our Work at COPPROME

Honduras Children’s Project has bought numerous school supplies every six months and related materials for use by children at school and in the after-school program and supports the local public schools many times with equipment and other classroom supplies.

We sponsor several children to attend bilingual private and trade schools.
The Honduras Children’s Project has provided scholarships to allow children who have graduated from high school and the orphanage to continue their studies at the university level or in other specialized skilled training.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, we significantly upgraded the internet service so our children could learn remotely. The internet service upgrade continues now that schools are in-person.

We maintain close ties with the children and our staff by visiting COPPROME three to four times a year.
